Our client is an International Advisory Boutique with specific focus on African Infrastructure, Energy and Power Projects. They are looking to take on an Associate into their Project Finance team in London.

The firm has an exceptionally strong reputation in the market and is very much considered to be a leading Advisory Firm for major African focussed projects in the Infrastructure, Energy and Power space. They are working on lots of projects at the moment hence the need to bring someone new into the team. The job will involve;

  • Preparing marketing materials and other documentation including pitches, information memoranda, management presentations and valuation papers
  • Transaction project management, including contacting potential purchasers, coordinating data-rooms, due diligence and other meetings
  • Producing complex financial models for corporate finance transactions
  • Undertaking valuations of businesses using a variety of valuation methodologies
  • Contributing to discussions in meetings with clients
  • Supporting sector initiatives through research and business development opportunities
  • Reviewing and critically analysing sets of financial accounts or projections and testing their veracity
  • Responsible for mentoring and developing more junior members of staff, providing constructive feedback on a formal and informal basis, including completing their quarterly case review forms
  • Assisting in practice development projects, such as internal training, presentations and the production of marketing literature
  • Conducting simple negotiations and providing relevant and accurate information, as well as assisting senior colleagues involved in more complex negotiations

Suitable candidates will have extensive experience of managing financial advisory projects in Power and Infrastructure in Sub-Saharan African markets. They must also have strong modelling skills as well as a proven ability to identify sources of debt and equity for new and ongoing projects. They will also, be at least Level 1 CFA qualified.
