1)      Analyst 2-3 Private Equity Fund

Our client are a market leading infrastructure fund established in 2010 by ex-Macquarie and Morgan Stanley bankers. Their focus is very much on the infrastructure sector (including telco, utilities and renewables) in Europe.

 They are looking for an analyst with 1-2 years transaction experience who would have exposure to industrials or infrastructure deals including utilities, transport and renewables sub-sectors. The ideal candidate will initially be highly involved in the modelling and execution of deals from start to finish and as such will have very strong modelling skills.

They are currently raising a fund of 1bn Euro alongside their advisory business and so the role would become more asset management over the next 12 months. Working within a small team, hours are much better than at the big banks (leaving at 8/9pm) and will enable exposure to all clients and senior bankers. The environment is very entrepreneurial and the analyst will be encouraged to take on additional responsibilities including origination involvement. This role in particular would have a lot of client contact so outstanding communication skills are essential.

2)      Analyst 3-Associate 1 ECM at top international bank

Several opportunities have just come up with a top international North American bank in their extremely successful ECM team.

  • Assist senior team members in proving guidance on the application and interception of FSA Rules, AIM Rules, Takeover Code and corporate governance/ investor guidelines.
  • Assist senior team members in liaising with the UK Listing Authority, AIM and Takeover Panel.
  • Maintaining strong direct relationships with clients.
  • Transaction execution.
  • Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business.

 Team Activity

  • Writing pitch books and other client presentations.
  • Producing market and valuation updates.
  • Preparing operating materials to include executive summaries, market and sector updates, transaction structure overviews, offer size considerations, timetable options and credentials.
  • Write and distribute educational materials both internally and externally distribution.
  • Maintain European IPO and rights issues and other databases.
  • Compile regular European origination and execution activity reports for the senior management.

 Wider Internal Activity

  • Liaising with Equity Sales and Research to distribution offering and gathering feedback.
  • Liaising with other product groups within the bank.

 EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Solid grounding in ECM and Corporate Broking.

3)      Boutique M&A Advisory House

Our client is a Boutique M&A advisory house based in the West End

They have been very busy on live transactions and are now looking to grow their team at the Associate level.

They are looking for individuals with an accountancy background at a top firm and 2-4 years post-qualification experience within M&A/Corporate Finance or Transaction Services.

 As a small firm, the position will provide a great deal of responsibility, with the associate being the first point of contact for clients, as well as the opportunity to work on all aspects of transactions.

Preparing marketing materials and other documentation including pitches, information memoranda, management presentations and valuation papers

Key responsibilities:

 •Transaction project management, including contacting potential purchasers, coordinating data-rooms, due diligence and other meetings

•Producing complex financial models for corporate finance transactions

•Undertaking valuations of businesses using a variety of valuation methodologies

•First point of contact for clients and contributing to discussions in client meetings

•Conducting simple negotiations and providing relevant and accurate information, as well as assisting senior colleagues involved in more complex negotiations

The successful candidate will need:

•Strong modeling skills

•The ability to build strong client relationships
