Alan Mitchell was set up in April 2002 to focus on offering a genuine consultative service to both clients and candidates in the Front Office Banking Sector. Our aim has always been to build long term business relationships with real substance and understanding. Working with individuals for years – helping them recruit for their company and in turn helping them develop their careers.
Our initial market was Corporate Finance established on an existing knowledge of that sector and the candidates who would be successful. We developed a very strong reputation and following in that area over time and built an extremely dedicated and knowledgeable team of specialist consultants and researchers totally dedicated to M&A and Capital Markets recruitment globally with a strong presence in the UK, US and Middle East.
With the onset of the global down turn in 2008 we were very thankful for having consistently exceeded our client’s and candidates expectations. This had made us the recruiter of choice for Financial Institutions of all sizes including boutiques and smaller, less exposed, investment banks. It is the loyalty of our clients that saw us survive and even flourish during this difficult time.
With more settled markets beginning to prevail in 2012 we moved forward with renewed confidence with the aim of increasing our sector coverage across front office investment banking. Busy markets and an increase in transactional activity has enabled us to continue building our whole team to date. Bringing in like-minded individuals with a commercial interest in Front Office Investment Banking, honesty, an appreciation of treating people with respect and professionalism and of course commitment, drive and a sense of humour.
